The Bureau of Meteorology and Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society invited photographers to send in their best weather pictures. They responded with a staggering selection of natural history shots including lightning bolts, fire tornadoes and even that rarest phenomenon in Australia - snow. The best 13 photographs have now been selected for the 2014 calendar with Grant Dixon's mystical shot of Mt Field National Park in Tasmania making the cover.
